Peterborough Humane Society PAWlympics
Will you be a PAWlympic flame carrier for animals in need? Join us as we get active for the over 1,600 animals that enter our shelter each year by donating to the PTBO PAWlympics, a virtual fundraising challenge in support of the Peterborough Humane Society.
During the month of September, our PAWlympians have been walking hundreds of kilometers all while staying active with their pets and exploring Peterborough and the Kawarthas. The PTBO PAWlympics is an online substitution for our popular walk, Strutt Your Mutt.
Help support the Peterborough Humane Society who advocates for the welfare of animals by improving their lives, alleviating suffering, rescuing, providing shelter, healing, facilitating adoption and reducing pet overpopulation. We are the largest animal shelter in Peterborough County and the only open admission shelter.
Being open admission means that we must take in all stray or surrendered companion animals. All animals surrendered to PHS receive the necessary vet care, vaccinations and are spayed/neutered prior to being adopted out to amazing forever homes. We don’t receive any government funding, or funding from any welfare group for this work, and therefore rely on donations from the community.
Help support the Peterborough Humane Society and the 1,600 animals that need care at our shelter each year by donating now.
Thank you to our Amazing Partners!
