Love, Chosen: The Story Behind Our Newest Adoption Video

Sep 13, 2025

At the Peterborough Humane Society, we know that every adoption tells a story. This fall, we were proud to premiere our newest adoption video, Love, Chosen, a heartfelt look at the power of bringing an animal into your family.

Where the idea began

The vision for Love, Chosen started with our friends at Can-Pet, who have been long-time supporters of our work. Nick from Can-Pet, who supports PHS daily through Jade’s Pet Boutique and beyond, approached us with the idea of creating another powerful adoption commercial after the success of last year’s award-winning video It’s Never Too Late.

Together, we wanted to highlight the joy, healing, and unconditional love that adoption brings, not just to the animals in our care but to the families who welcome them home.

Brought to life by Unmanned AV

Once the idea was on paper, it was time to bring it to life. That is where Kyle and Felipe from Unmanned AV came in. Their creative direction, technical skill, and passion for storytelling shine through in every frame of Love, Chosen.

From scripting to filming to editing, the Unmanned AV team captured the spirit of adoption in a way that is both emotional and unforgettable.

Why this video matters

Every day, animals come through our doors in need of care, compassion, and a second chance. Love, Chosen is more than just a video. It is a reminder of what is possible when people choose adoption.

By adopting from the Peterborough Humane Society, you are not just giving an animal a home. You are becoming part of a story of love, healing, and new beginnings.

Thank you

A special thank you to Nick and the Can-Pet team for sparking the idea, to Jade’s Pet Boutique for your ongoing partnership, and to Kyle and Felipe from Unmanned AV for creating a film that truly captures the heart of adoption.

Together, we are proving that love is always chosen, and it changes everything.

Help us spread this video far and wide! You can share directly with our friends and family on Facebook and Instagram.

Thank you!
