Report a Missing, Found, or Injured Animal
If you’ve found a stray or injured animal, or you’re missing a pet, call our Animal Services team at (705) 745-4722 ext. 215.
Animal Services and By-Law Enforcement
The Peterborough Humane Society’s Animal Services department provides education and enforcement related to animal control by-laws throughout Peterborough County, including the City of Peterborough, Selwyn Township, the Township of Douro-Dummer, the Municipality of Trent Lakes, and the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan.

Reporting Animal Cruelty
The Peterborough Humane Society doesn’t investigate animal cruelty cases. If you’d like to report abuse, neglect, abandonment, or other animal care concerns, please contact the Provincial Animal Welfare Services at 1-833-9ANIMAL (1-833-926-4625) or your local police service.
