Bid on Luxury Getaways, Jewellery, and More at the Howlin’ Silent Auction
The Peterborough Humane Society’s signature fall event, Howlin’, is almost here, and this year’s Silent Auction is officially open. Whether you’re joining us in person on September 12 or bidding from the comfort of your couch, everyone is invited to take part, no matter where you live. No ticket required. Bid from wherever you are, and if you win, we’ll ship your item right to your door.
What’s Up for Bid This Year
This year’s auction includes something for just about everyone! A few highlights worth browsing include a five day Ferrari adventure through Modena, Italy, complete with the official Ferrari Test Drive route and a visit to the Ferrari Museum and Factory in Maranello. There’s also a Greek getaway for two through Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini, a six night escape to historic Dubrovnik with a guided Game of Thrones filming locations tour, a six night stay in the heart of Lisbon with a Secret Food Tour and Tagus River Sunset Cruise, and ten nights at the Galley Bay Resort & Spa on Antigua’s Caribbean coast.
Beyond the getaways, you’ll also find gorgeous jewellery, sports memorabilia, and fun home decor finds. Every item is a little different, so it’s worth taking a few minutes to browse the full list and see what catches your eye.
Why Your Bid Matters
PHS operates without government funding, which means the animals in our care depend entirely on support from people like you. Every bid placed in the Silent Auction goes directly toward things like medical care for animals who arrive scared and in need, food and shelter while they wait for their new families, and the community programs that help keep pets and people together here in Peterborough and the surrounding area. It’s a simple way to make a real difference, whether you place one bid or several.

How to Join In
Getting started is easy. Head to the auction site, create your account, and start browsing. You can place bids on as many items as you’d like, and you’ll be notified if you’ve been outbid so you never miss your chance. Bidding closes on September 12 at 8:00 pm ET, so keep an eye on your favourites as the deadline gets closer.

This year’s event features an amazing meal from Chemong Lodge, live music from James Higgins, Yappy Hour, a pet photo booth, and a chance to meet some of the animals in our care.
