This spring, something pretty sweet is happening, and we mean that literally!

From April 27 to May 3, 2026, the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign is back. This year, 100% of proceeds from participating locations in Peterborough, Lakefield, Bridgenorth, and Curve Lake will be split between us here at the Peterborough Humane Society and our friends at Five Counties Children’s Centre.

This is our first year being selected as a Smile Cookie beneficiary, and we are so excited to be part of it.

Every $2 cookie you buy helps care for animals in our community while they wait for their forever homes. It also supports Five Counties’ incredible work with children and youth with physical, developmental, and communication needs. That’s a lot of good packed into one little cookie.

Not just cookies

While you’re there, keep an eye out for the Smile Cookie plush toys available at participating locations. Proceeds from the plush toys also support Peterborough Humane Society and Five Counties Children’s Centre, so if you want to bring home the cutest cookie around, you can feel good about that too.

Want to order for your whole team? Grab the bulk order form.

Smile Cookies are a great excuse to treat your office, your classroom, or really anyone who deserves something sweet. Bulk orders are available throughout the campaign!

When and where

Smile Cookie Week runs April 27 to May 3, 2026 at participating Tim Hortons locations in Peterborough, Lakefield, Bridgenorth, and Curve Lake.

You’ll see us there

Throughout the week, volunteers from PHS and Five Counties will be at participating locations decorating cookies, greeting guests, and saying thank you. If you spot one of us, come say hi!

A little bit of context

Tim Hortons has been raising funds for local charities for over 25 years. Last year, Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada raised $22.6 million for close to 700 local charities, bringing the Smile Cookie program’s total to more than $151 million raised since it began. We’re proud to be part of that legacy this year.

“We are incredibly grateful and excited to be included in this wonderful campaign alongside our friends at Five Counties,” says our CEO Shawn Morey. “By supporting this campaign, you are helping ensure animals that come into our care receive the support they need while they wait to join their new forever homes.”

We really mean it. Every cookie makes a difference for the animals in our care, and we are so grateful to Tim Hortons and to this community for making something like this possible.

Grab a cookie, grab a plush, and maybe grab one for a friend too. Every single one makes a difference and we think that’s pretty sweet!
